What'd you think of Stranger Things 2?

I enjoyed it but it was a bit like season 1... took me a long time to get into it.

Sorry to hear that mate. Special creatures, dogs.

Yes, Mutianyu. Some of it had restoration work done as recently as like, the 50s I think? Wild.

Ah yes, have heard of Hadrian's Wall. Incidentally, and I guess as mentioned in the video, I was surprised to learn that the "Great Wall" isn't really one big wall, it's a buncha walls, which were all built at different times and kinda linked up and then became known as a single "Great Wall".

Nothing really on the horizon, considering an Australian roadtrip for a few days, but nothing major. Would be cool to do something Chinatrip esque again, but I very much feel that a lot of luck came our way in terms of getting the right group in the right mood. Come what may!

Great final episode  man

My favorite line was something like "I'm cold.  Mao is cold"  Grin
Hahaha, thanks mate! Was really happy with how it came together in the end. Smiley

Definitely pushed the limits with a few of the things we said in Tiananmen Square (particularly off camera) but made it out unscathed  Grin

Ha! Also did very little. Too much fun to be had in that weird week between Christmas and New Year Grin

Awesome.  Off to watch it now.  From that screenie of an ice-bike I know I'm going to love it already  Grin
Key quote of the episode: "What the hell is an ice bike?!" Tongue

Huh! Maybe it's something that just doesn't translate until you try it. I'll have to get around to it eventually, I was initially quite curious but then figured I'd have heard more about it by now if it was truly amazing.
Absolutely you need to try it Smiley  (just make sure it's something half decent like PSVR, Vive or Rift)

It's nowhere near perfect.  I can't wait for v2 with better res, smaller headsets, wireless, better tracking etc, but even with those limitations, v1 is already amazing at times.
How do those systems compare to something like Google Daydream (phonebased)?

T'is the season for resurrecting threads! Merry christmas, y'all.

Hoping Santa's got some video gear in his sack for me this year. Got a dinner with the extended family but I think I'll survive, and hopefully have a few friends round later for beers, too.  Grin

What's everyone else got planned?

Thanks fellas. On the mend now, was a rough few weeks there but hopefully all under control now. Smiley

After much work, I can finally call the Chinatrip series complete. It's a great feeling, but bittersweet in a way. I've finished telling this big story... but now I need to find a new one. More adventures are on the cards, I reckon. Got some great videos coming out after this one, too.

I remember in the dying days of university, everyone being totally psyched about the new VR tech that was coming out.

It's been 5 years. I've still never touched a headset.

What's going on? Where's the killer app?

Moving house and unexpected health issues have left me rather behind on putting out video; I've missed twice now.

I really had to just take the foot off the pedal, unfortunately. I decided that Chinatrip needed to be finished and so I'm dedicating myself to getting it done, when it's done.

Hopefully after that, things can amp up again. Work is sadly busy as hell and there isn't much of a proper break in sight, but I think I'll try and take a week off around my birthday cause f**k this for a laugh.

On a happier note though, the video I'm putting out feels like it's going well and it'll be great to finish it. Onwards and upwards  Cheesy
