Try SeaNanners series, watch 3 or 4 eps. I thought MC would be a bit boring as well, then I saw those and that inspired me to download it. Best fifteen bucks I ever spent.
That dude is craaaazy. And slightly ADHD, but that only makes him more interesting in this case. Also, I think his excitement about the game really rubs off on you... in a good way.

Only thing that's currently bugging me about MC at the moment is my lack of iron and the difficulty in beating any monster without dying, hard, and my inability to construct a decent item-harvesting trap.

Portal is currently free if you've been living under a rock for the last 5 years and don't already own one of the greatest gaming experiences of all time...

Quite a while since we had a new PC game in here so here's Prison Architect that I'm really looking forward .  Firstly because it's from Introversion, secondly because it looks like it might be a more accessible take on Dwarf Fortress and finally because it just looks great.

Yup they've carved out a nice little niche for themselves designing games with ideas and a look a little different from the mainstream so they aren't competing with the big boys, while still having the production values of those bigger publishers.

The original Fallout is currently free on GOG.  Grab it.

I'm just about to see how it runs on the eeePc.

I'd love to find a way to play these on my phone... screen size is a restriction.

Some of these old games will probably work on a Dos emulator if there is one on Android.  As you say, the PC GUI would be unusable mind Smiley

It's a shame there aren't more turn based RPG's written specially for mobiles as they seem perfect.  I'm currently playing Final Fantasy Tactics and it's really fantastic.

Works fine on the eeePC apart from the mouse movement feeling a bit floaty.

did they fix load times ...lol

::  show your metal and play as a pacifist .

also in the lockers above the rat king , you can put your extra junk in them , then go to a new town .
find the save file for the rat town , and save a copy ,
go back take your stuff out of the lockers ,
leave town .
put the copy of the town back , go back to lockesr and you will have all the stuff in the lockers & what on you.
unlimited inventory .

I haven't noticed any problem yet although I haven't got far.

I never played the original Fallout games so the first experience I had of them was with Fallout 3.  Now that I've played the originals it's quite impressive how much of the feel and mechanics of the game survived when going from turn based 2D to effectively a FPS.
