Just finished watching the first series of Luther and though it was fantastic.  As it's a British series and not American it's only 6 episodes long and this works better for me,  As I said earlier, for all I loved Dexter it did feel a bit drawn out at times.

Anyway, quite a few detective series clichés in Luther, but it's so well done and Idris Elba is so charismatic that it all just works.  And Alice, played brilliantly by Ruth Wilson, will mess with your head.....psychopathic yet strangely attractive.  BunnyMonkey!

Currently rewatching The Big Bang Theory old eps because I can't bring myself to commit to The Inbetweeners for some reason, and Outsourced isn't worth catching up on (I was half way through season 1). I've been on a very American tilt lately, waiting for new Top Gear and Peep Show. I /sort of/ like Skins, but I never really have the energy to watch drama... maybe I should just bite the bullet.

Same here as it's being repeated. Quality Smiley

...I can't bring myself to commit to The Inbetweeners for some reason...
As The Inbetweeners is a very much about being a British teenager the humour might not translate well to an overseas audience.  Although it's probably fair to say their interests are the same a all teenage boys around the world!  Tongue

Having watched the Dungeons and Dragons episode of Community I've decided it's genius.

I also started watching White Collar as it has such good reviews on imdb and so far while it's been ok it's not great.  Even though the cast is likeable enough, the story lines have zero depth and consequently no twists or surprises.  Disappointing.

It was truly amazing. And unsettling at the end, when the cleaner walks past...

Speaking of amazing I've just caught up with the final episode of Pyschoville 2.  How something so dark, twisted and surreal can still mange to be hilarious and often moving is beyond me.  It should be a horrible mess and yet it's brilliant.

Seen loads of people recommending this and it still doesn't appeal to me.  Not being a fan of Bean doesn't help.

Guess I'm going to have to try it though to see what all the hype is about.  BunnyMonkey!

Watched the pilot episode of Pysch last night after seeing it was a highly rated comedy on imdb and it was promising enough for me to check out the rest of the first series.

Looks like it's been out for a few years too so there's plenty of decent comedy there for me to watch if it turns out to bee good.  BunnyMonkey!

Yeah I love those 80's references.  Community is packed with them too.

That's two comedys from the US I'm really enjoying right now and I can't think of a single British one now that The Inbetweeners is finished.  I never thought I'd see the day.

Blackadder, Only Fools.., Fawlty Towers, Alan Partridge, Bottom, Red Dwarf, Coupling, The Office, Drop The Dead Donkey, One Foot in the Grave, Father Ted, Men Behaving Badly

And now?

You left off Black Books! I'm so disappointed with what the IT Crowd became.

Tell me about the IT Crowd. The last series was really poor.

Thought I'd give Day Break a go last night and ended up watching 3 episodes.  It seems like an otherwise typical cop conspiracy story with an added dose of Groundhog Day....the lead reliving the same day over and over trying to piece together who framed him and why.  It's an idea that worked for Source Code and so far it's good here too.

And months later I finally finished off series 2 of Dexter and loved it.  I even found it more enjoyable than series 1 because the sub plots and other characters have been fleshed out and made more interesting.
