It kinda reminded me of AMC's 'The Killing' in that they both have this rather bleak view of the world around us. Not sure if I recommended it before but 'The Killing' is pretty good, but requires you to have quite a bit of patience.
So you watched the AMC version of The Killing?   I read the original version was better, but as I tend to watch most TV when I'm supposed to be resting I couldn't be bothered with the subtitles  Tongue  If the AMC version is still decent then I'll try that.  Thanks.

I'm quite sure the original version is much better in many ways (I've only seen one episode of it), but the language and the culture differences (unless you're scandinavian) might make it more difficult to follow. The US version also follows a completely different plot by the end of the first season.

As long as the changes to the plot aren't as terrible as the new ending in the US version of Ashes to Ashes.  Tongue

Finally finished the second season of Burn Notice.  It's been my go to series for a while when I just need something lightweight to fill an hour.  Lightweight but very enjoyable.  Jeffrey Donovan is excellent in the lead role, while seeing Sharon Gless now makes me feel very very old lol

Well if the first 2 episodes are anything to go by then Person of Interest is going to be great. The lead character reminds me of
someone although I can't think who.  I'm liking the cold calculating side to him though.

Top recommendation gents.  Thanks Smiley

Ok Person of Interest is really good, but I'm hoping the women detective chasing them suffers a horrible death sometime soon.  What awful casting.  She's absolutely terrible.

I'm watching the first season of Continuum and I can't decide if it's decent escapist nonsense of a steaming pile of crap. The quality of writing, acting and plots veers all over the place.

It's only 10 episodes and worth trying if you fancy a female Terminator with loads of cool tech and every sci-fi cliché in the book.  The special fx for the tech and gadgets are really quite good.

Continuum has turned a bit rubbish TBH.  It doesn't look good when even a short 10 episode series still has a bunch of filler eps in the middle.   Tongue
I've only got 2 more to watch so I'll stick with it to see how the main story arc pans out, but I doubt I'll bother with any future series.

New Dr.Who last night and it was great.  Loved the Daleks "reset" and next weeks "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship" looks potentially great too.  Good to have it back.

Just finished the first half of the final season of Breaking Bad (the second half isn't on until next year  Tongue ).  Utterly fantastic as ever.

So glad I stuck with it through the slow first series.  Watching that first series back now and knowing the characters as we do it's actually really good, but at the time I couldn't see what all the fuss was about.

Well shock horror, the new series of Red Dwarf started with a surprisingly good episode and not just because my expectations were so low.  Much better than anything in the last few series.

So last night alone the US had new Homeland, new Boardwalk Empire, new Dexter and new The Walking Dead....and we had The X-Factor Results.

The quality of British TV really has plummeted in recent years and how do the US churn out so many great shows?

Didn't you see the live broadcast of the skydiver jumping from outer space.

I thought i had missed it and was channel hopping after a days coding and found a live broadcast on BBC news about 10 minutes before his attempt.

So i got to watch it all live and recorded it as well.

Really exciting stuff but i was getting vertigo just watching.

American Chopper is currently my favourite show.

I'm a bit obsessed with it.   Tongue

Finished up season 2 of Boardwalk Empire last night.  What a fantastic and unexpected ending.... in fact the last few episodes were all amazing TV.  So much better than season 1.
