Looks like they are going the Little Big Planet route.

That's had millions of levels designed for it the last i heard.

Yeah, as we've discussed before user generated content is great for both developer and end user.  Trials HD actually had a good built in track editor too, it just fell down on the sharing of any tracks you created.  A great editor is pointless without an equally good content sharing system.

Also Trials Evolution has set a new record for XBox Live Arcade sales.  It's interesting that this sells for $15 and is a best seller yet on iOS anything over $5 is now seen as extortionate and would struggle to shift a handful of copies.  Very different markets

It was the same with Skyrim.

It had huge success with it's average retail price of between £30 - £40.

I think both games built huge fan bases from their previous releases.

The rumours of an MMO Elder Scrolls game are true then.  I've never bothered with an MMO beyond a bit of FFXII( or whatever it was), but might be tempted by this as I've loved the recent games.

I've heard these rumours for a long time now and always assumed it would be an MMO version of Skyrim.

Which i've always been a bit dubious about.

But it looks like it's a totaly new game and engine by a different developer using the same Elder Scrolls IP.

Pretty exciting stuff.

I think it will have a very hard time in the over saturated MMO market though.

New games come and go every 5 minutes.  And only a tiny percentage of new MMO's keep going for more than a year.

I don't think it's IP alone is strong enough to sustain a long term user base.

I hope it's not just a rehash of the million other fantasy based MMO's out there.

I've been a big fan of the Elder Scrolls games for a long time now, from back in the DOS days and would love to see an MMO version be a success.

But i really don't know how they can create a new hook to keep the players.

The MMO market is very stagnant, with most following the World Of Warcraft 'theme park' Model.

Have to wait and see as more details of the game emerge.

It could go either way.  Skyrim and Oblivion were really big sellers on console so there is a sizeable audience there looking for more, but off hand I can't think of any MMO that has been a success on a console so who knows.

I must admit I wasn't sure how the setting for the new Assassins Creed game of the American Civil War would work with classic AC gameplay.....this has convinced me it will.  Looks pretty awesome IMO.

Yeah I was about 100 years out ;P ....although both time periods would play similarly I guess?

Well I got bored or AC1 pretty quickly and it was only Aaron saying how great AC2 was on here that made me eventually give it a try.  In AC2 they basically took the crap bits out and added a load more variety.  I rushed through AC2 and Brotherhood straight afterwards.  Both great games IMO.

I always liked the Hitman games and with proper stealthy games thin on the grounds these days, I'm eagerly waiting for the new one.

Cool trailer too.  Just the right side of the "sex sells" line.  Can't say quite the same about gratuitous violence though  BunnyMonkey!

More Assassins Creed to get hyped about, this time from the Vita version.  It's looking pretty ace and not the cheap port I was worried about.

Oh and this is how you do main characters and make them interesting.  Enough of the white, bald, muscle bound male leads.

The latest Assassins Creed 3 trailer looks great.  I hadn't realised the new environments were so big.  I just hope there are some quicker ways of getting around as in previous games took ages even when you had a horse.

An open world MGS game?  Oh yes.  Looks typically mad as well.   BunnyMonkey!

Some new MGS footage.  As it's an MGS game it's 10 minutes of cut-scenes and 30 seconds of gameplay.....still looks fantastic though.

With regards to hype, when does releasing footage too early have a negative effect?  Here is Mojam's first test footage of their next game...
