That looks like a view of the street after a tsunami or hurricane has passed by, or maybe World War 3.  Post apocalyptic maps for free. BunnyMonkey!

Have you tried using Google Earth Prime?  I had a play around back when I was still using DBPro and was able to get a proper heightmap working.  There might be an even easier way of doing it now and if you could then somehow overlay the more accurate Maps textures it could look really cool.

This isn't the link I used, but it gives you the idea.

I check failry regularly and thought it hadn't been updated in a while.  I didn't realise the active topics were on a hidden board until I logged in.  Tongue

im still looking at some things , but one seems to be using SVG for art assets as well . possibly even svg for levels and using my tiles as textures .

that could let us do simple colissions shapes . lol

Happy holidays all.

Yeah that was a great quality bundle.  I loved Darksiders a lot up to the point where the Zelda style "dungeon" structure started to feel tired, dated and generally not fun.

Not sure which Red Faction was in the bundle, but one of them was brilliant (the open world one) The most recent was awful and forgot everything that made RF special.

Now that devs have finally worked out how to make it work, sword swinging and melee combat has been in most recent games.  For years every player in a 3rd person game looked like a drunken idiot randomly flailing about, but the intelligent lock-on used in the likes of inFamous and Batman makes it work perfectly and as a bonus looks really cool too.  BunnyMonkey!

You say "coded on  a few projects today" like it's totally normal....while I struggle with one. BunnyMonkey!

lol just realized "You say "coded on  a few projects today" like it's totally normal....while I struggle with one. "

lol i struggle to keep myself to one .. i want to paint , build R/C boats / aircraft , robotics , 3d mesh build , 3d mesh sculpt , texture , oh and code 1/2 dozen projects all at once .. but .. well yeah real life reality of time partitioning and task start-up time and $$ kicks in .LOL

making a game comes the  closest to all of that if it is 3d , if you think about it . LOL

I call it creative ADD .lol

lol well I wish i could be a bit more like that at times, but I know if I didn't concentrate solely on one project then I would never finish anything ever.  BunnyMonkey!
