PS VR coming in October for 350 then.  Pro-ordered  Tongue

Seriously though can't wait.  Launch titles look decent and the fact they are encouraging Indie devs means there should be no shortage of software support which has been the main issue with the likes of Move, Kinect etc.

I can't wait till this all becomes a bit more mainstream. So keen for racing in VR. I still can't justify $10000 for a sports car in my life yet so VR will have to do Sad

Spent the last 4 or 5 days in PS VR and I never want to go back to old 2D displays.  It's incredible.

Playing with friends?  The best gaming nights in years.   BunnyMonkey!

I remember in the dying days of university, everyone being totally psyched about the new VR tech that was coming out.

It's been 5 years. I've still never touched a headset.

What's going on? Where's the killer app?

Weird though it may sound if you haven't tried VR, but VR itself is the 'killer app'.  Once you've tried it you'll be a convert.  Even the simplest of things can blow your mind.

I thought I knew what it would be like until I tried it and realized it's so much more than I had imagined.

PSVR has now shifted over 2m units and the recent price drop should help shift a few more and there are loads of new titles announced every week now.

This was announced a few days ago.  Sick bags at the ready...

*stuff about how VR is cool*
Huh! Maybe it's something that just doesn't translate until you try it. I'll have to get around to it eventually, I was initially quite curious but then figured I'd have heard more about it by now if it was truly amazing.

Absolutely you need to try it Smiley  (just make sure it's something half decent like PSVR, Vive or Rift)

It's nowhere near perfect.  I can't wait for v2 with better res, smaller headsets, wireless, better tracking etc, but even with those limitations, v1 is already amazing at times.

How do those systems compare to something like Google Daydream (phonebased)?
