I like Virtual Boy (see earlier).  I've just seen this off the soon to be released debut album and wondered whether the vid was done with Kinect?

No idea if that's Kinect, but remember the one Radiohead did with a laser scanner for House of Cards or whatever it was, off In Rainbows?

I'd forgotten all about that.  Not quite as original a vid as I thought then.

Loving the latest Washed Out album.  I have it on a constant loop at work.

I saw someone describe it as "music the way you hear it in your head".  Perfect.

Lumines Electronic Symphony probably doesn't qualify for best game soundtrack ever as it's using existing tracks.....doesn't stop it being amazing though.  Is there a better game experience than Lumines through headphones in a darkened room?  Kang-a-roo!

Continuing my resolution to listen to more albums rather than odd tracks on Spotify and I'm actually starting to enjoy music more again.

Anyhoo the new Beach House album is lovely.  Reminds me of the 90's (for some reason) with a hint of Cocteau Twins in places.

Kanye West - All Of The Lights ft. Rihanna, Kid Cudipowered by Aeva

All of the Lights - Kanye West
Talking of albums. Kanye's latest blew my mind. I've liked a track or two of his before, just casually. Downloaded his latest album though, and my god. Recommend listening /as/ an album. The sheer musicality. I read a bit about the effort gone to produce it; West had a huge number of collaborators, recording studios manned 24/7, I heard it referred to as "rap camp" because it was done over a few months. And yet it sounds so cohesive... yet every track is fresh with its own ideas. There have been albums where I've liked every track, but as far as liking an album as an album, this would be way up top for me. So much more developed than his earlier releases, which now frankly sound like pop-inspired average hip-hop trash.

This however, is the thing that has moved me the most all year.
Marceline - I'm Just Your Problempowered by Aeva

Can't get enough of that fat, distorted bass and the vocal.
Wish this was part of a full album. Stayed up till 3AM writing after listening to this. I've listened to it about 60 times in the past week.

Adventure Time is one of my favourite shows. And much easier to explain than My Little Pony.

It's always kind of bothersome when TV/movies do great musical work that's interrupted by the necessary character interactions. Examples:
-Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
-The cover of Hey Ya in Scrubs

OK I've got no idea what's going on in that second vid.  Who or what is it?  Decent song mind.

And I'm fairly certain that's the first Kanye Wet song I've listened to.  I'm skilled in the art of avoiding all chart music on radio and TV.  BunnyMonkey!

Can't say the song grabbed me too much although the production is fantastic.  I may have to check out the whole album as you suggest....but be warned, if it's crap I'm coming down to Aus to strangle you horribly with your guitar strings.  BunnyMonkey!

Hahah. It's a clip from a cartoon; the song's original, sung by one of the characters about the history between them and another.

Well, hopefully that's not necessary  Tongue It's definitely hiphop, so if you're not much into it... possibly not entirely recommended. But for what it is, I think it's really fantastic.

The Fields new album has some of the most repetitive tracks you will hear and yet it's strangely hypnotic.  Like classic Orbital...only better.

Great for coding too.  BunnyMonkey!  (I'm sure there's a deep reason as to why some music styles are so much better to code to than others)

Listening to the new Gotye effort.  Not bad and they nearly always have a lovely imaginative video.

The latest Imagine Dragons stuff sounds more like The Killers than The Killers do now.

Haha, there were parts of that where I just wanted to sing "INDIIIIIIIE ROCK AND ROOOOOOOOOLL IT'S TIME". I'm guessing it's more of a Sam's Town sound though? Doesn't remind me /much/ of Hot Fuss...
