I downloaded and unzipped DUO.ZIP.  When I double-click DUO.EXE I get the error in the subject line.

Hi sglawrence and welcome.

I assuming your PC meets the minimum specs?  (Which really just mean you must have a graphics card capable of 32 bit colour and have DirectX9.0c installed.)

If so then I'd suggest you download again and see if that fixes the problem.  You may have a corupted download as all the necessary images are definately there (remember to delete your temp internet files first Smiley )

Some unzipping programs have the option to unzip everything into one folder and disregard whatever folder structure was set in the zip file itself ... so if that was on and everything got unzipped into one folder, you wouldn't be able to load any of the images ... thats one possibility.

also some programs just blatantly mess up the archives. because the file in question is a zip file, you can use XP's extracting feature if that happens to be your OS.

Most likely one of those suggestions as I've just downloaded the files just to confirm there are no problems and they work fine for me.

Assuming you downloaded them from our links and not from some other site Smiley

 Undecided

Yeah, you can't just drag the exe to the desktop you need to make a shortcut to it since it is dependant on the files inside the folder. Thats how it is typically with most programs...

wired4him, you can, however, drag a shortcut of the exe to the desktop while holding down the ALT key while dragging. That lets you launch the game whenever you want, straight from the desktop.

Hi wired4him,

Yeah, as the other guys have said you can't move the actual exe file to your desktop, you need to create a shortcut.

This is because the path names to the media files are relative to the position of the exe.  Move the exe and it will be looking for all the media files on your desktop too.

I wonder if that's what others have been doing too Smiley
