Have you ever thought about making a game that can be embedded in a webpage?  I was just thinking of ways to get the BZ name out, and having a way that a mini-mono or mini-duo that could be easily placed into a webpage would be great.  I knew that there was a Duo being made for the cellphones in Java (I think), how hard would that be to put 5 levels into a web embedded game that say I could put on Myspace, and perhaps see a lot of hits that way?

I didn't know what to write here, so I thought I might fill up the space uselessly, to give you something to read.  I know this is a blatant waste of bits and bytes, but if you would be so kind, don't hate me for it.  I only sit here and type because I am bored.  And you are too, my friendly reader.

Funnily enough we were just discussing this on the dev boards a few days ago. Smiley

I think SiN would prefer to use Flash for a web version as it would look better but the way I see it we will already have a Java version, so uploading a restricted demo of that version would make sense.  Chances are it will be a Java version of nothing.

As we've mentioned before, we have loads of other versions we'd love to write (DS, PSP etc) but with just myself doing the PC coding and SiN doing the mobile versions we simply don't have the resources.....and that's without the additional media they may require.

Anyhoo we like the idea of web versions of some kind so we'll see what we can do Smiley

Yeah, it's a pity really ... its like I keep thinking about how long each project takes and wish I could do them faster. DUOtris mobile has taken nearly 6 months now, which is really good by normal development standards, but I really wish I could do a game a month or something, because I have so many ideas boucing around in my head that I'd like to get to writing.

Yeah that's why I'm quite anxious that we still issue smaller demos like "echoes..." alongside working on larger projects.  I can do those quite quickly using the new scripting system which will allow us to test out new ideas....and remind people we still exist Smiley

We also need to find a way of getting our mobile commitments met while allowing you to try out some of your own ideas.  Something to discuss on the dev boards I think Wink

Well, I'm anticipating it now :-)  I end up playing that little helicopter game on people's websites far too long sometimes LOL
