Joystick in Mono!

Is there anyway to use the joystick in mono?

I have a dual analog joystick, which I would love to be able to use, the left analog stick for movement, and the right for shooting.

Please implement this!

Hi jblade.

No sorry, there isn't a way of using a joystick in the current version of mono.

The full version that we are now working on already has this added but it hasn't been fully tested yet.

When I have time I could copy the required code across though as this may actually be a useful way of testing it out

Joystick will definately be added at some point.

I'm just doing the final bit of coding for our new project and that is to add a joypad configuration system so, in theory, you can use any joypad with it.

When complete these routines will go straight into the new version of mono.

Yeah, a joystick in Mono would be fun!  I would have to go borrow my friends joystick...hehe.

Heh I've given up on promising dates for now.  Real work and real life mean we have no idea when we will have time to work on stuff so it'll happen when it happens......but it will happen
