Which means us Indie devs can go back to adding Zombies without being part of the curve, double bluffing the curve if you will Tongue

Certainly overdone though.

I decided to simplify the new logo a bit more.  I'm much happier with this one.  As ever simple is what we do.  BunnyMonkey!

What a stupid thing to say.   Undecided

That says more about you than it does about me.

Referencing Minecraft is purely because it's in the POPULAR CULTURE.

They do have that down under don't they.

You might as well say every game is a rip off of pong.

Or that Echoes is a rip off of Asteroids.

I note you havn't given positive feedback on Fog's design.

Maybe i should just keep my mouth shut in the future.

Some people just Piss me off big time.

I rest my case.

Ah right.  I must admit that the Minecraft reference didn't register with me in the way you meant it (the animals) and I think the same probably applies to TheKhakinator.

Seeing those pictures of the blocky animals I get the reference now and agree Smiley

Or that Echoes is a rip off of Asteroids.
It was though wasn't it lol Wink

Uh... I think the design is quite fetching... didn't... really... mean to offend anyone?!  Undecided
And you left the Tongue off when you quoted me, which is /integral/ to my comment, necessary to highlight the light-hearted nature of my comment, referencing various comments people on this forum have made, such as fog talking about how every neon-soaked indie shooter was compared to GW, etc...
Why are you so angry? Not really following...

My only issue with that is that it's so often a lazy and inaccurate comparison.  In some cases it's like vector graphics or even shmups themselves didn't exist before GW came along.

Having said that, even though Asteroids was the actual inspiration for Echoes, graphical comparisons with GW are obvious and totally reasonable. Smiley

Yeah, too many reviewers don't even try. "Oh look, shiny line art! Must be like GW..."

While I wait for the demo of AGK I've been having a bit of a proper play with the demo version of Monkey.  I've messed with it before, but just to get a feel for how it was structure and what it's limitations were.

Now though I thought I'd have a go at writing a couple of tools that I would still be able to use regardless of which language I end up using for the actual games.  So far I've ported some quick and dirty code to allow me to create various GUI elements so I've got buttons, lists, sliders and angular dials for use in the editors.

Editor wise I've written the one that helps me design Screen FX which I use for things like adjusting motion blur, screen flashes and any other full screen graphical effects.  Previously in my engines I've also had the screen shake routines in here, but I've decided to move them to a new Camera FX class where I will in future handle all FX that involve physical movement of the camera (shakes, pans, temporary zooms etc)

Next up I'll work on a tool to extract individual frames from a tilesheet image.  previously I did this by hand and it's a very tedious process  Tongue
