Hot on the heals of the Angry Birds movie success, the previously announced Tetris movie (no joke) has confirmed $80m funding (definitely no joke).

Apparently it will be a Sci-Fi trilogy.  Tongue

True.  I always think this type of thing must be an elaborate tax avoidance scheme or money laundering operation.  They make little sense from an investment viewpoint.

Heat

Wow. Just wow.

I watched this late last year with my girlfriend, as I'd just remembered a casual reference to it in a Peep Show episode. I knew literally nothing about it going in.

Holy crap - 3 hours of pure, amazing cinema. Andy McNab apparently consulted on this film and it shows, particularly in the audio. Mindblowing.

Yeah Heat is an absolute classic.  Di Nero has an incredible body of work.  Outside of the obvious classics, even his less well known films like Ronin are great.  Never been as much a fan of Pacino.

Strange film was Passengers.  If you've seen the trailer then the story plays out exactly as you'd expect.  Sci-fi by the numbers with no unforeseen plot twists....and yet I still enjoyed it.

Baby Driver was surprisingly enjoyable in a 90 minutes of fun action movie kinda way.

Horrible name for a movie though.  I bet that put a few people off seeing it.

Yeah, definitely a weird choice of title.

I wanted to watch that until Jalopnik trashed it. I'll still get around to it though.
