I actually think its a buffer problem going on in game time, where the music is streaming chunk by chunk, but isnt updating the buffer in time for it to continue playing.

How much ram does your computer have?

Not sure it can be a RAM problem Mike if it's only effecting one track.  I'd simply try re-encoding it and seeing if that solves the problem.

Fingers crossed that works as it's certainly the easiest solution Smiley

It's not only 1 track though. It's any FKD Reality mp3. So he could be right, but I don't know why it would only effect the FKD mp3s and not any others I try, if it's a memory problem. Like I said, my own mp3s play fine, it just skips the 3 FKD mp3s (Duo, Duotris, and Echoes) if I play them in Echoes.

Anyways I have 512mb of memory and 1.8ghz cpu.
PC spec is fine as that's exactly what I use for testing.  Anyway we'll see whether encoding the tunes again solves the problem.

did you try renaming the FKD MP3 files then place them in the custom MP3 folder? could be name specific?

No the only thing I tried is what I posted a few posts up. They don't work with their default names in the Echoes custom music folder and they don't work renamed to particleillusionloop.mp3 in the Echoes music folder.

Didn't try naming them something like blahblahblah.mp3 and putting them in the custom folder, I might just for the heck of it though lol.

Well I gave that a try and it didn't change anything, so I guess I'll just wait till it's encoded again.

Anyways I got around to recording a 1 minute clip of the sound with my mp3 player if you want to hear it. The sound is kinda loud at first but then I turned it down a little so check your volume before you listen.

All that "clicking" sound is the music, it starts to play for like a second then goes back to clicking.

No idea what's causing that.  As it's just the FKD Reality tracks doing it we can safely assume it's not a coding issue though.  We can only hope the combination of re-encoding the mp3's and using the new compiler solve it.
