i am already using the wiimote to run this with glove pie it works perfect. we need to do what we can to get this done. echoes in particular could be the next big downloadable content and be wii's geometry wars.

Hi tjdavids77 and welcome Smiley

the money wouldn't stop me from devloping a commercial title for WiiWare but time most probably would.  With a full time job, coding is only ever going to be a hobby so it's really difficult to commit to a commercial project and the deadlines etc that brings.

Ideally I'd like WiiWare to be open to everyone like XNA is, then I could try and code something at my own pace at limited cost and probably release it as freeware if it's ever completed.  Everything I hear so far though says Nintendo wont be allowing anything like that.....for obvious reasons.

Geometry Wars: Galaxies is already wip for Wii and DS.

There's room for more than one twinstick shooter and I'm sure there will be others.  If you've played GW then you'll know it has a pretty different feel to it than Echoes and indeed many of the other similar games out there.

FWIW I can't play GW anymore.  I now find it a bit limited and frustrating compared to the glorious

i agree stardust is fresh and more fleshed out. i really do love echoes and see so much potential there, and also being a fan of nintendo and the new similarities between the wiimote and mouse. i just think echoes has enough to be a real breakout title  in a new d/l service. if anything does happen there let me know id be happy to help in any way i could.
